By accessing or using the website, desktop application, and related services (the "Service") provided by CareerFlex ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service.

Service Description

CareerFlex provides a web app and desktop tray app that help analyze job listings and related content using AI. The Service is credits‑based.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account, credentials, and all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and maintain security of your login.

Desktop App License

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to install and use the desktop app solely to access the Service. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the app except where permitted by law.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: violating laws, infringing intellectual property, attempting to breach security, scraping or harvesting data, interfering with other users, or uploading content you do not have rights to process.

User Content and AI Processing

You are responsible for the content you provide (e.g., CV text, job descriptions). You represent you have the rights to process it. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided "as is" for informational purposes and are not legal, financial, or professional advice.

Credits, Payments, and Refunds

• Credits are required to access certain features and are consumed upon processing.
• Purchases are handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
• Credits are non‑transferable and have no cash value.
• Refunds: All sales are final. However, we may consider a good‑faith refund if no credits were consumed on the purchase, at our discretion. Contact support@careerflex.app.
• Taxes and fees may apply and are your responsibility.

Referrals and Bonuses

Referral codes/links may provide bonus credits subject to eligibility (e.g., first qualifying purchase by the referred user). Self‑referrals or fraudulent activity voids rewards. We may modify or terminate referral programs at any time.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms, suspected fraud/abuse, or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR‑FREE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CAREERFLEX BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

Changes to the Service and Terms

We may change or discontinue the Service, features, or pricing at any time. We may update these Terms and will update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction unless otherwise specified. Courts located in your jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction. You may contact us to propose an alternative jurisdiction if needed.
